I understand with the Supreme Courts ruling to make homosexual unions legal in all 50 states is a touchy subject. What I am about to say is not meant to pass judgement, offend, or criticize anyone.
As a strong outspoken Christian and a Christian writer I realize some people have looked to me to how things should be handled and have even asked my opinion. I am not here to cause a fight or a rift between anyone- I simply want to open minds and encourage you to meet God in prayer and ponder what it is you truly believe.
With that being said, I do not believe that you can pick and choose what you believe of the bible. You either believe all or nothing. The bible clearly defines marriage as a union between man and woman that is blessed in the eyes of God.
My question is, if marriage is defined as a union in front of and by God, then wouldn’t that make marriage of unbelievers and atheists wrong too!?!
If that’s the case then why would it be any different for a man and a man, or a woman and a woman to be married?
If the Union of marriage is between man and God then that means at the end of life all those who are bound legally by marriage but not bound in the eyes of how God created marriage, will have to answer to HIM for what they believe and do. Therefore, as a Christian, it is not our place to judge or condemn, but to love and pray.
We should pray and accept all souls, whether lost or found, and be the light in the world we are called to be. Just because something is legal doesn’t make it right. I urge you to consider what God is truly trying to do. This topic is being heavily debated and causing a lack of unity among people. That was not and will never be Gods design for the world. At the end of the day, God is being talked about! At the end of the day, people are hearing the truth, whether they want to believe it or not, is their choice and right and something they will have to answer for at the end of their lives. At the end of the day, no court can overturn natural laws made by God himself.
At very least, I hope this opens more discussions among God and it’s people and what it truly means to be a believer in this world.
I hope this can in some way stretch ideas and thoughts that will cause you to seek out truth and acceptance… Truth being that Jesus died on the cross for you, me, black people and white people, gays and lesbians, atheists, rapists, murderers, and saints and sinners. He died and rose again to set us free… Not bind us by legality! ?
